Laura's Story
"I grew up bouncing back and forth between my grandparents and mother. My industrious grandparents managed a successful hotel, various real estate holdings, and a billboard business. My mother was a hippie Buddhist, gravitating towards an overly modest lifestyle while wrestling with addiction. It was an eclectic childhood that left a lasting impression.
My family history includes the second Governor of this commonwealth, as well as farmers and market owners who started in Owsley County, one of the poorest counties in the nation. The one common thread in my family has always been a legacy of service to this state. We were expected to leave a mark on this earth and to leave it better than we found it.
When I started my billboard company, I had a side hustle in interior design. We've since evolved into a design and real estate development company - with a side of billboards. Now we're also a place off I-65 to find some of Kentucky's favorite foods at Pennyroyal Market.
